Boots Named to All-Tournament Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman defender Jessica Boots has been named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team, the conference office announced on Monday, Nov. 6. Boots, who started all 20 games for the Hoosiers in 2006, garnered her first Big Ten honor with the award.
Boots scored her only goal of the season in the Hoosiers' 1-0 win over Wisconsin on Friday, Oct. 13, giving head coach Mick Lyon his 150th career victory and extending IU's unbeaten streak to 13 games, the longest single-season streak in program history. Boots was also key to the Hoosiers leading the conference in both goals and shots allowed this season. She also helped IU allow just 15 goals, the best goals against average in the history of the program.
Indiana was bested by Michigan in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 2, by a score of 2-1. The Hoosiers finished the 2006 season 9-7-4.
