Suhr Named IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On a weekly basis, IUHOOSIERS.com will recognize top academic performances by Hoosier student-athletes with the IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week award. For the week ending Dec. 10, senior menâ?TMs basketball player Errek Suhr earned the honor as selected by IU Athletics' Academic Services.
A Bloomington native, the guard has seen action in all eight of the Hoosiers games this season, starting two. Averaging 11.9 minutes per game, Suhr is shooting a team-high 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from behind the arc.
According to academic advisor Kimya Massey, Suhr knows what it takes to be successful. â?oeErrek Suhr is someone who always knows what he needs to do in order to accomplish his goals and assignments,â?? Massey said. â?oeHe is a very focused individual who understands what it takes to succeed and puts himself in a position to do well in all of his endeavors. He is very passionate about his work and strives to be the best at whatever he does.â??
