IU Recruiting Class Ranked Among Nation's Best

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Several national recruiting publications have ranked the Indiana men's basketball 2007-08 recruiting class among the nation's best.
Jamarcus Ellis, a 6-5, 200-pound guard from Chicago, Ill. and Chipola (Fla.) Junior College; Eric Gordon, a 6-4, 205-pound guard from Indianapolis North Central High School; Eli Holman, a 6-9, 210-pound center from Richmond (Calif.) High School, Brandon McGee, a 6-7, 220-pound forward from Chicago Crane High School, and Jordan Crawford, a 6-4 190-pound guard from Detroit, Mich. and Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy, are expected to enroll at Indiana in June 2007.
HOOPSCOOP leads all publications with a No. 1 ranking for the Hoosiers. It gives the Hoosiers 39 points on a point scale based on individual talent ranking. Van Coleman's FutureStars ranks Indiana third nationally and first in the Big Ten.
Scout.com puts the Hoosiers at sixth with a talent rating of 4.2 (out of 5.0), while Rivals.com rounds out the major publications with a No. 9 national ranking.
