BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Eight Indiana field hockey student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the 2006 fall season, raising head coach Amy Robertson's total of academic all-conference selections to 52 in seven seasons.
Seniors Morgan Miller, Lydia Schrott and Rachel Telian picked up the third honor of their careers, while juniors Haley Exner, Erin Isler and Margie Stoll are two-time recipients. Sophomore Jobi Manson and Katie Kiper earned their first Academic All-Big Ten accolade.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. A total of 623 student-athletes competing in seven fall sports were honored by the Big Ten for their accomplishments.
