BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On a weekly basis, IUHOOSIERS.com will recognize top academic performances by Hoosier student-athletes with the IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week award. For the week ending Nov. 5, senior women's basketball player Leah Enterline earned the honor as selected by IU Athletics' Academic Services.
"I'm very proud of Leah being able to lead our team on and off the court," Indiana head coach Felisha Legette-Jack said. "She's done a great job as a captain this year and I'm sure she will continue to lead us academically as well."
The guard, a native of Monroeville, Ind., is a physical education major.
According to academic advisor Kimya Massey, Enterline embodies the phrase "student-athlete." "Leah continues to demonstrate what it means to be a student-athlete," Massey said. "She strives to do her best in all that she does and is an excellent example to her teammates and those around her. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be highly successful in any endeavor she undertakes."
