BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 31 Indiana women's tennis team continues its spring season with another full weekend of competition. The Hoosiers are set to square off against Marquette on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m., followed by DePaul and Butler on Sunday, Feb. 12. Sunday's doubleheader is slated to begin at 10 a.m., with the match against the Bulldogs to start at 3 p.m., at the Indiana Tennis Center.
Indiana head coach Lin Loring, the NCAA's all-time winningest coach, shares his thoughts on this weekend's opponents:
On the Marquette and Butler matches:
LL: "We know that we are the favored team against Marquette and Butler. If we concentrate and play hard those are two matches, we should win."
On the DePaul match:
LL: "The DePaul match will be very similar to the Kansas match. The Blue Demons are very good at the top of their lineup, similar to Kansas. DePaul took wins from Michigan's top three singles players but lost, 4-3. A week later, they lost to Purdue in a match that was not close, so we have to prepare for the team that almost beat Michigan. If DePaul plays at that level we are in for a really tough match."
