Indiana Player Quotes
Senior Forward Marco Killingsworth
On the Iowa game
MK: "We took a loss. Anytime you lose it is going to hurt. It hurts even more when it is at home. We were really clicking late in the game but by then it was too late."
On losing five of last six games
MK: "We have six more to play. We have to try to win those games. We are one of the toughest in the conference. Who ever wins the Big Ten is going to have five or six losses."
Senior Guard Marshall Strickland
On the pace of the game
MS: "We got off to a slow start at the beginning. I think we played hard on defense. We tried to take the fight to them and came up short tonight."
On the Iowa game
MS: "Iowa is a tough team. They have a lot of weapons with inside play of (Greg) Brunner and their outside shooting. They spread us out and got some good looks at the end of the game."
On his senior leadership through the losses
MS: "I'm just trying to lead the young guys. I think it takes a toll on the young guys the most. We have the most experience as seniors and I try to share my experiences with them so they keep pushing to play hard."
Freshman Center Ben Allen
On the focus of the team
BA: "I think we just have to concentrate on finishing off the season. We are still in a very good position. We have Illinois coming up and that is going to be a tough one for us. We are still very confident that we are one of the top teams in this conference. We just have to show it."
On the chemistry of the team
BA: "We've been calling a lot of meetings as a team. I think that is helping us a lot. We have to stick together as a team because it is us getting the job done out there. The chemistry is there."
