Hoosiers to Host Field Hockey Camp

Join Indiana head coach Amy Robertson, the IU field hockey program and elite coaches from around the world at the 2006 Indiana Field Hockey Camp. For the first year, the camp offers two different weeks of tailored training and experience.
"Our goal for both field hockey camps is to challenge the participants and to make sure that they have a blast at the same time," Robertson said. "We are excited to offer an Elite Week for the first time. It is our aim for this camp is to give the elite field hockey player an opportunity to improve their knowledge and advance their skill while being able to compete against other top field hockey players. We only hire head coaches who have elite level coaching experience and who possess the ability to make each session both challenging and fun."
Elite Week is slated for June 15-18 and designed for the top-level high school player who wants to be challenged and has a passion for field hockey. The curriculum will integrate fundamental skill and execution with more advanced hockey concepts and game competition. A minimum of Varsity experience in recommended to ensure top competition among participants.
Open Week is scheduled for July 27-July 30 and will help the player reach their field hockey goals and increase their enjoyment of the game through an exceptional camp curriculum, a variety of hockey related activities and expert coaching staff. The week will consist of trio of skill instruction, small games and intra-camp competition.
Campers will receive exceptional instruction from an expert staff, housing and a t-shirt.
Application deadline for Elite Week is May 31st and the deadline for Open Week is July. Enrollment is limited and spots are filling up quick. Campers can register online or download the application form and mail it in.
