BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana softball team is set to participate in its third tournament in as many weeks, traveling to Chattanooga, Tenn., for the Chattanooga Tournament on March 3-5. The tournament, hosted by the University of Chattanooga, will feature Bradley, Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, Tennessee-Martin and Tennessee Tech. The Hoosiers are 2-4-1 on the season, and recently came off a 2-3 weekend at the Louisville Slugger Tournament (Feb. 24-26) where they defeated the University of South Florida and Siena.
CHATTANOOGA PREVIEW

BRADLEY PREVIEW
Bradley comes into the tournament 4-0 on the season and fresh off a tournament victory at the Bradley Invite where the blanked Purdue in the final game to capture the tournament crown. Head Coach Buddy Foster, who is in his first year with the program, coaches the Bradley Braves.
Molly Bergeson (.500) and Christine Cooney (.429) lead Bradley at the plate, while Brittany Dehler and Ashley Birdsong hold the duties in the circle with a 0.00 and 0.70 ERA, respectively.
Indiana leads the overall series 9-2 against the Braves, winning the last meeting in 2004, 10-4.
CHATTANOOGA PREVIEW
Chattanooga enters the weekend after falling in a pair of contests to Middle Tennessee State by scores of 3-0 and 5-3, respectively. Tournament host Chattanooga is 7-11 on the season.
Frank Reed is in his fifth year at the helm of the Lady Mocs, and has collected a 172-91 record during his tenure.
Jeannie Cochran and Ashleigh Bull are leading the Lady Mocs with an average of .485 and .372, respectively. JayCee Wood and Ashley Frizzell share pitching responsibilities, tabbing a 2.91 and 4.75 ERA, respectively, to carry the load in the circle.
Indiana leads the series over the Lady Mocs, 4-0.
MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE PREVIEW
The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders are 5-9-1 after downing Chattanooga twice on March 1. Second-year head coach Leigh Podlesny is in her second year at MTSU, and has collected a 8-43 record.
Michelle Wilkes heads the hitting duties for the Blue Raiders with a .341 batting average followed by Kristine Reed with a .318. Pitching duties belong to Laura Moore who owns a 4.95 ERA on the year. This is the first meeting between Middle Tennessee State and Indiana.
NORTH FLORIDA PREVIEW
This will be UNF's first meeting with all six teams in the tournament. The Lady Ospreys have the second-best overall record in the Atlantic Sun Conference at 8-4.
Sonya Wilmont, who is in her 10th season with the squad, coaches the Lady Ospreys.
Both Amy Higgs and Christina Evans lead North Florida with a .485 and .468 batting average, respectively. In the circle, Katie Brosky has the most appearances (nine), posting a 2.68 ERA. This is the two team's first meeting.
TENNESSEE-MARTIN PREVIEW
Tennessee-Martin is coming off a double header against Middle Tennessee State on Feb. 28. UT-Martin dropped the first game 6-4, before ending the second game tied at one because of darkness. On the season, the Skyhawks are 7-5-1.
Head Coach Donley Canary is in his fourth year with the Skyhawks, collecting an overall record of 119-102.
Maghan Brown and Savannah Roberts lead Tennessee-Martin at the plate, while Ashton Strode and Holly Templeton control the circle with a 4.07 and 4.22 ERA, respectively. UT-Martin leads the series 3-0.
TENNESSEE TECH PREVIEW
Tennessee Tech is coming off a pair of victories over Lipscomb on Feb. 28. Tech took the games by scores of 8-0 and 9-0 respectively, to move to 7-4 on the season.
The Golden Eagles have collected a 272-173 record under eighth-year head coach Tory Acheson.
Stephanie Fischer (.379) and Beth Boden (.333) lead Tennessee Tech at the plate, while Bonnie Bynum heads the pitching duties with a 1.35 ERA. Tennessee Tech leads the young series over the Hoosiers, 1-0.
