ATLANTA - The Indiana men's swimming and diving team is currently competing in the 2006 NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga., from March 23-25. The Hoosiers will take time out of their incredibly busy schedule to talk to IUHOOSIERS.com. Senior Thomas Clavier talked about the week so far and his plans for the future.
On what he has done this week so far:
I have just been spending time with my teammates and relaxing. We have been warming up, stretching and eating good fun.
On knowing that this is his last meet:
It is kind of sad. I am still going to be able to go on to other things. I am just going to miss the guys. I am still going to swim for exercise, but will just miss the whole feeling.
On his plans after this year:
After I am done, I am probably going to move back home to Louisiana and meet up with my older brother in some type of business plan.
On other thoughts over the past few days:
I think it is a real nice pool and facility. I just think it is exciting to see how the sport of swimming changes each year. It gets faster and faster. It is also nice to see what the coaches have done with the team. You see that when we come here, we get a lot more respect. The Indiana swimming program continues to get better and better.
