BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - IUHOOSIERS.com recently asked each member of the Indiana women's golf team what clubs they carry around the links. In the upcoming weeks, each IU golfer will let us take a look inside what is in their bags. Redshirt sophomore Gennifer Marrs, a native of Terre Haute, Ind., is next up.
Overall
GM - I am very happy with all of the clubs in my bag. I recently replaced just about every club in my bag and I feel that the clubs I have now fit me and will enable me to play my best golf.
Putter
GM - I just recently got my putter and I fell in love with it because I feel so comfortable standing over a putt with this putter.
Woods
GM - I feel very comfortable hitting my driver off the tee. It is my club of choice. My favorite fairway wood is my 7-wood, it is lightweight and built like an iron so it is easy to hit out of a tough lie. It is the oldest club in my bag but I always feel confident using it because I have made some really good shots with my 7-wood.
Irons
GM - I feel very confident using my 7-iron. I can get the ball up pretty high with this club and drop it close to where I want it to go. My 4-iron is a good club for me to use out of the rough and get the ball up on the green.
Wedges
GM - I tend to use my 56-degree wedge the most. I have really worked the most with this club and I can make quite a few different shots using this club. It allows me to use my imagination with new shots.
Ball
GM - I use Titlelist Pro V1 or Pro V1x
