'06 Outdoor Campaign Kicks Off

The 2006 outdoor season begins this weekend, with the distance runners heading to the Stanford Invite and the rest of the team going to the Diet Pepsi Invite in Florida.

With the winter months behind them, the Indiana men's and women's track and field teams are ready to kick off the 2006 outdoor season with its first official competition this weekend. Several members of the distance crew will head west to Palo Alto, Calif., where they will compete in the annual Stanford Inviational on March 31-April 1 at Cobb Track and Angell Field. Meanwhile, the rest of the track and field squad will compete in the Diet Pepsi Invite at the Percy Beard Track and Field Facility in Gainesville, Fla.
