Marco Killingsworth Named to NABC All-Star Game

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior forward Marco Killingsworth has been named to the roster for the 2006 NABC College All-Star game set to take place as part of the Final Four festivities in Indianapolis. The game will be played on Friday, March 31, at 8 p.m.
Killingsworth will be part of the college all-star team will take on the Harlem Globetrotters Friday night at Conseco Fieldhouse. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and can also be purchased the day of the event.
The Montgomery, Ala., native earned honorable mention Associated Press All-America. Killingsworth led the Hoosiers to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and a 19-12 overall record. He also topped the Hoosiers in scoring at 17.1 points per game and rebounding at 7.8 per contest.
He also earned second team all-conference accolades from the Big Ten media and was a third team choice by the league's coaches following the conference season. Killingsworth was named to the Wooden Award Midseason All-America team as one of the top 30 finalists for the annual honor. He also garnered National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) first team All-District laurels. During the Big Ten regular season, Killingsworth became the 17th player in Big Ten history and fifth in school history to be named Big Ten Player of the Week on three occasions in a single season as he earned the honor on Nov. 21, Dec. 5 and Jan. 23.
The 6-8, 268-pounder ranked among the Big Ten leaders in scoring (seventh), rebounding (fifth) and field goal percentage (eighth). Killingsworth's nine double-doubles were the most by a Hoosier since Jeff Newton had 11 during the 2002-03 season.
