Valentin Selected to Big Ten All-Tournament Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--Senior guard Cyndi Valentin was selected to the 2006 Big Ten Women's Basketball All-Tournament team, as selected by the media after guiding the Hoosiers to a semifinal appearance for the third time in school history.
Valentin averaged 18.0 points per game during IU's three games, which ranked fourth in tournament play. She also averaged 4.0 assists per game.
The first team All-Big Ten honoree scored 19 points against Michigan in the first round of action, and then notched 14 and 21 points against Minnesota and Purdue, respectively.
Valentin is the first Hoosier to be named to the All-Tournament team since Heather Cassady earned the 2002 Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
Indiana (17-13) will wait a week to hear its fate in the NCAA Tournament.
