Senior Reflection: Kali Kullberg

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior guard Kali Kullberg, along with the Indiana women's basketball team, awaits word of their postseason fate announced on Selection Monday, March 13. The Orono, Minn., product recently took time out of her busy schedule to talk to IUHOOSIERS.com about her career and advice for future Hoosiers.
Kullberg has been a part of many incredible performances in the Hoosier program. She told IUHOOSIERS.com what she feels is her best memory of her four-year career.
"My fondest memory of my time here will be this final year," Kullberg said. "I am now able to say I have been part of turning a program around and get to sit back and watch how it becomes one of the elite."
The veteran also offered solid leadership to the healthy mix of under and upperclassmen this season. With that wealth of knowledge, Kullberg offered advice to incoming freshman heading to Bloomington next year.
"Always put yourself in the best position to succeed," Kullberg said. "There will be those times when you don't think you can get through, but it is so worth it in the end. The pain you feel is just growing pain. Allow yourself to step back and realize what an opportunity you have been given, and do everything you can to have fun with it. You have just stepped into one of the best families you can ever imagine - enjoy the coaches and your teammates. They are amazing."
During her longstanding career with the Hoosiers, Kullberg developed as both a person and a leader. She told IUHOOSIERS.com what she gained the most by being a Hoosier.
"I have learned more about myself than I could have ever imagined," Kullberg said. "I never expected anything that happened in my four years here, but every last thing that happened taught me something about myself."
