NFL Europe Hoosier Update - April 24

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The trio of former Indiana Hoosiers in NFL Europe (NFLE) continued their seasons during this past weekend of action. Overall, the Hoosiers went 1-2 on the weekend as reigning NFLE Offensive Player of the Week Gibran Hamdan led the Amsterdam Admirals over Aaron Halterman's Rhein Fire, 30-21. Meanwhile, Justin Smith's Hamburg Sea Devils came up short against the Cologne Centurions, 20-17.
Although Halterman led all receivers with seven receptions for 74 yards during the contest, Hamdan continued to shine with an incredible 113.8 passer rating. Overall, Hamdan connected on 14-of-21 pass attempts for 203 yards and a touchdown. The score opened a 7-0 advantage for the Admirals en route to the victory.
This coming weekend, Hamdan's Admirals take on Smith's Sea Devils at 9 a.m., while Halterman's Fire hosts the Berlin Thunder at 8 p.m., on April 30. Both contests will be televised on the NFL Network.
