Batty, McGaffigan Earn Doubles Ranking, Hoosiers Tabbed at No. 30

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana women's tennis' No. 1 doubles team of senior Sarah Batty and junior Laura McGaffigan earned the No. 57 nod in the April 4 ITA/Fila Rankings. As a team, Indiana earned the No. 30 slot.
Heading into this weekend's matchup with No. 68 Ohio State, Batty and McGaffigan are 15-4 in dual match play and 4-1 in Big Ten action. So far this season, the duo upset Illinois' then-No. 37 pair of Macall Harkins and Emily Wang, 8-5, on March 26.
Indiana enters its sixth Big Ten contest of the season 14-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Hoosiers have downed five ranked opponents, including two with a higher nod.
IU travels to Columbus, Ohio to take on the No. 68 Buckeyes on Sunday, April 9. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m., at OSU's Stickney Tennis Center, weather permitting.
