Spring Football Player Profile - Nick Polk

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - With the Indiana football spring practice season coming to an end, the Hoosiers have continued to improve and mature on the offensive side of the ball. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Nick Polk has already shown great promise for the Indiana receivers, and only plans on getting better from here.
"So far, practice has been going real good. It has been going great," Polk said. "The team chemistry is growing a lot, really coming together. The offense is getting a lot better, the line is working real hard, the receivers are working really hard and the running backs are working really hard. We are really just coming together as a team."
With two scrimmages under his belt, Polk feels confident in his ability as a playmaker as well as the growing chemistry of the wide receivers.
"The scrimmage went really well today," Polk said. "The receivers caught well and blocked well. We did some good things on offense. We are really just starting to get a lot better and to really click."
With only a couple of practices left in the spring season, Polk understands that there are still some things the team needs to work on in order to prepare themselves for the coming season.
"There are always things you always have to work on," Polk said. "You can't do anything but get better, so we really just have to go out there, work hard, practice and keep getting better."
As the spring season comes to an end, Polk is looking forward to maturing as a player as well as a person in order to help his team and to be as successful as possible.
"My goal is to improve on my ability to get in there and block better and to run better routes," Polk said. "I need to improve on a few things to get myself to be a better person, a better player."
