BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Hoosier Gibran Hamdan continues to light up NFL Europe after an incredible comeback triumph over the weekend. Hamdan led the Amsterdam Admirals back from a 14-point deficit to knock off the Hamburg Sea Devils, 18-17.
Overall, Hamdan connected on 25-of-35 pass attempts for 322 yards and a touchdown. He also posted a 109.5 passer rating in the contest. His touchdown strike came by way of a 13-yard hook up with Chad Lucas to close the distance to 17-15, before marching the 59 yards in 1:43 for a game-winning field goal.
Meanwhile, Aaron Halterman also experienced the thrill of victory as the Rhein Fire held off a hard-charging Berlin Thunder, 27-24. Halterman corralled four passes for 34 yards during the game.
This coming weekend, Hamdan's Admirals do battle with the Cologne Centurions on May 7 at 9 a.m. (EDT). Additionally, Halterman's Fire will compete against the Frankfurt Galaxy on May 6 at 1 p.m. Both contests will be shown live on the NFL Network.
