BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's soccer team signed three more student-athletes to an already talented 2006 recruiting class, bringing head coach Mick Lyon's total to 10 newcomers for the upcoming season. Signees Jenny Ball (Elkhart, Ind./Concord), Liz Holby (Inverness, Ill./William Fremd) and Erin Kirkpatrick (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) all will join the Hoosiers this fall.
"With the addition of Jenny, Liz and Erin to the incoming freshmen, they complete one of the program's finest recruiting classes," Lyon said. "Jenny and Liz have the ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Both have played against top competition in the club circuit, and bring with them a high level of experience. Both have a successful future of scoring goals in one of the countries finest women's soccer conferences. Erin has played a number of years with the Carmel Soccer club, and knows what it's like to compete against some of the nation's best. We will look to tap into each of their experiences and turn them into top competitors at the collegiate levels."
Ball, Holby and Kirkpatrick join an already talented class, including Kristen Arnold (Beavercreek, Ohio/ Beavercreek), Jessica Boots (Carmel, Ind./Carmel), Taylor Fallon (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar), Christie Kotynski (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), Kelly Lawrence (Chigwell, Essex, England/West Hatch), Natalie O'Bryan (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) and Kathryn Zachman (Fort Wayne, Ind./ Homestead).

The Inverness, Ill., native received three selections to the all-conference team while at William Fremd, along with all-area, all-sectional, all-area co-captain and being named conference player of the year in 2005. Playing against some of the nation's best, Holby has spent the last five years with the Eclipse Select club team, leading the team to national championships in 2003-05.
Kirkpatrick completes the talented class after playing four years at Carmel High School. The Carmel, Ind., native also brings with her a high level of experience having played with the Carmel Cyclones club team from 1996-2002, and spending the last four years with the Carmel Craze.
