BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Making his 12th start of the season on the PGA Tour, former Indiana men's golf two-time All-American Jeff Overton tied for 29th place at the Barclays Classic on Thursday-Sunday, June 8-11. In addition to making his eighth cut of the year, Overton picked up his third top-30 finish.
Playing at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y., the PGA rookie used a 6-under 65 in the second round to move on to the weekend. During the sterling second 18, Overton recorded a double eagle on the par-5 18th hole to garner USA Network's Shot of the Day and to earn a spot in SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays.
The Evansville, Ind., native closed out the weekend with a 73 on Saturday and a 72 in the fourth and final round to end the event at 1-over 285 (75-65-73-72).
