Hamdan, Halterman Pick Up NFL Europe Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana football standouts quarterback Gibran Hamdan and tight end Aaron Halterman were selected to the 2006 All-NFL Europe League Team, and Hamdan earned the league's Offensive Most Valuable Player honor.
Hamdan led the Amsterdam Admirals to a 6-1 record before suffering a season-ending injury at quarterback. The former Hoosier led the league in completion percentage (63 percent), total yards (1,629) and touchdowns (12). Additionally, Hamdan recorded the highest passer rating in NFL Europe's history with a 113.4 mark. Hamdan is a member of the Seattle Seahawks organization.
Halterman joins his former Hoosier teammate on the offensive all-league team. A member of the Huston Texans organization, Halterman finished the season among the league's leading receivers with 26 receptions for the Rhein Fire. This season, he averaged over 11 yards per catch for a total of 290 receiving yards.
