Swander Registers National Cut at Charlotte UltraSwim

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Graduating senior Kevin Swander put up a National cut during the second day of competition at the Charlotte UltraSwim at the Mecklenburg Country Aquatics Center in Charlotte, N.C., on June 9.
In the 200-meter freestyle, rising sophomore Todd Patrick finished 23rd in 1:58.95, while classmate John Kevin Koehler placed 28th in 1:58.40. In other Hoosier action, rising freshman Steffan Troxel took 44th in 2:00.06, while rising sophomore Alex Brunfeldt touched 84th in 2:03.93.
In the 100-meter breaststroke, Swander posted a National cut of 1:05.40 for third place, while rising freshman Heath Tameris finished 13th in 1:08.93.
In the 100-meter butterfly, rising freshman Nick Walkotten clocked a 31st-place 59.19, while classmate Ben Hesen finished 45th in 1:00.73. Additionally, incoming signee Matt Lenton took 69th in 1:02.76, while rising freshman Keith Dawley finished 71st in 1:03.24.
In the 400-meter IM, Patrick posted a 30th-place 4:48.23, while Brunfeldt touched 47th in 4:53.56. Also for the Hoosiers, Troxel clocked a 56th-place 4:56.59.
