Signee Henke Earns Postseason Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Incoming Indiana University freshman and former Cathedral High School standout Brad Henke picked up a pair of postseason honors. Henke earned a spot on the 2006 All-North baseball honor team and merited selection to The Indianapolis Star's Baseball Super Team.
A 6-3, 200-pound infielder out of Indianapolis, Henke turned in a strong senior campaign. He batted at a .447 clip with four home runs, 46 RBI, 39 runs and 15 doubles. Henke paced the Fighting Irish to a state runner-up finish and a 31-3 overall record.
"He's had a great three-year career for us, hitting over .400 the last three years," Cathedral coach Rich Andriole told The Indianapolis Star. "Brad's a fierce competitor, has a great motor and an incredible drive that makes those around him better. Brad's not into moral victories. He's concerned with winning and losing, and a lot of that rubbed off on the rest of the guys."
