Hoosiers Complete Signing Class with Geuskens

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head coach Amy Robertson announced the completion of the program's recruiting class for the 2006 season with the signing of midfielder/back Fenna Geuskens (Rotterdam, Holland/Erasmiaans) on Aug. 1.
"Fenna is a brilliant defender and distributor out of the back or midfield," Robertson said. "She really understands the game at a high level and has the ability to come in and make an instant impact. She possesses a team style of play, which I think will complement our team very well. With the combination of Fenna and Morgan Miller in our backfield, it will be very difficult for our opponents to get to our goal. I am excited to watch Fenna develop over her career and accomplish some great things at Indiana."
Geuskens comes to Bloomington after playing for the Victoria Club in Rotterdam. The Victoria Club is widely regarded as the premiere field hockey club in Holland. The 5-11 newcomer also brings international playing experience with her to Indiana. Geuskens competed at the European Field Hockey Championships for Holland's under-16 team along with playing in the 2005 Interregional Field Hockey Tournament in Holland. Additionally, she is a talented tennis player.
Geuskens is the daughter of Jan and Anne-Marie Geuskens and has three siblings, Marri, Roel and Tom.
