Throughout the 2006 preseason, IUHOOSIERS.com will be taking an insider's look at the women's soccer team. Each day from Aug. 8-23, a different member of the team will be keeping a diary of the day's events. The entry for Monday, Aug. 14 is by goalkeeper Megan Reinhardt:
Today was a rather light day. Since everyone has passed the fitness requirements, there was no 6:30 a.m. fitness training. It was nice to not have to wake up at 5:55 today.
Training was rather low-key, as a lot of us are feeling tired and sore, but we did have intense training sessions on crossing, shooting and defending. Right now we're just getting used to playing with each other. We have a large and great freshman class that has a lot of potential. This season should definitely be one of our best yet.
