The Big Ten Foreign Tour Team concluded its Australia trip in record-setting fashion. The Big Ten defeated the South District Spartans, 145-69 on Aug. 16 in Brisbane. The 145 points are a Big Ten Tour single-game record, breaking the old record of 141 set in 1992. Indiana's Rod Wilmont tied Michigan's Lester Abram for game-high scoring honors against South District with 22 points. Wilmont hit 11-of-18 attempts from the floor and grabbed five rebounds.
After dropping the first game of the tour on Aug. 12, the Big Ten bounced back with three straight victories to finish the trip. Wilmont was one of five Big Ten players to average double figures during the trip (10.5 ppg), and the 6-4 fifth-year senior was the third-leading rebounder at 7.5 per game.
