BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana volleyball match on Nov. 10 will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago (CSN Chicago) as part of the Big Ten Conference's 14-match television lineup, the conference office has announced. The 2006 television schedule will feature each conference school in action at least once during the volleyball season on three different networks.
The Hoosiers will play host to Michigan State in University Gym that evening at 7:00 p.m. and the game can be seen on tape delay the following day at noon. "I am very excited for this opportunity," head coach Katie Weismiller said. "The Big Ten has some of the best volleyball programs in the nation, and this is a great way for the conference to showcase that talent."
Another advantage in the Hoosiers hosting the Spartans in the televised match is the fact that it will be held in University Gym. This fall season will be the debut of the new state-of-the art hardwood playing surface in University, and Weismiller can't wait to show it off.
"I'm very excited to show off our new floor and the rest of the facility," Weismiller said. "Not only is this great exposure for facility upgrades, but this will also be a crucial late-season match for us."
