Throughout the 2006 preseason, IUHOOSIERS.com will be taking an insider's look at the women's soccer team. Each day from Aug. 8-23, a different member of the team will be keeping a diary of the day's events. The entry for Sunday, Aug. 20 is by freshman Taylor Fallon:
With Saturday's win under our belt we finally got a day to relax and give our bodies a rest. Sunday morning started out with brunch at trading tables, which meant no 7 a.m. wake up call.
With food in our bellies and a good night's rest we collected our uniforms and headed to the Metz Lounge to review the game, go over plans for the week, and take our team photo. Luckily, the photographer showed up and we walked over to Armstrong Stadium. The team was looking sharp, and needless to say, the freshmen definitely added a little something to an already good-looking team.
How we spent the rest of the day was up to us. Most of us tried to take advantage of the downtime before another busy week. Well, I am off to bed and ready for 6:30 a.m. fitness tomorrow morning. Bring it on Andy!
