BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana football fans have one last chance to save big when purchasing season tickets and tickets for the Hoosiers' season opener against Western Michigan at the IU Pep Rally in Indianapolis on Thursday, Aug. 24. The rally, which will be held at Monument Circle, is set to begin at 11 a.m.
The IU Athletic Ticket Office will be on-site at the rally offering $15 tickets for the Western Michigan contest as well as season tickets for $189, a savings of 10 percent off the regular price. The Hoosiers and Broncos kick off at 6 p.m.
For just the fifth time in the 46-year history of Memorial Stadium, IU will play seven home games in 2006. Along with Western Michigan, the Hoosiers welcome Southern Illinois (Sept. 16) and UConn (Sept. 23) along with Big Ten powers Wisconsin (Sept. 30), Iowa (Oct. 14), Michigan State (Oct. 28) and Michigan (Nov. 11) to "The Rock."
"The Hoosier Nation is unbelievable," Indiana head coach Terry Hoeppner said. "We need our fans to help us `Defend The Rock' this fall, and we hope to see all the great Hoosier fans in Indianapolis on Thursday."
