Hoosiers Continue at Cincinnati Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Senior Arnaud Roussel and sophomore Mak Kendall each won two singles matches to lead the Hoosiers on the second day of the Cincinnati Invitational.
Roussell defeated Ben Clos of Louisville 6-3, 6-2 and Zack Pasanen of Brown 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) on the day. Kendall downed Kentucky's Alex Lambropoulos 7-6 (8-6), 6-2, then beat Pasanen 1-6, 6-4 (8).
Several other players won at least one match on the afternoon. Sophomore Peter Antons beat Louisville's Chris Herrlinger 6-4, 0-6 (7). Junior Dara McLoughlin won 6-2, 6-2 over Andrew Brasseaux of Wake Forest. Junior Michael McCarthy, a Cincinnati native, defeated Wisconsin's Mike Dierberger 6-2, 6-4.
Senior David Bubenicek rebounded from a first-game loss for a 4-6, 7-5 (5) victory over Andrew Hamar of Wake Forest. Paul Boskovich was also a winner for the Hoosiers with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) defeat of Xavier's Brian Quinn.
Competition concludes on Sunday, Sept. 24.
