Junior Greg Stevning starts at back for the Hoosiers. The team has earned two shutouts this season. He sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to answer a few questions about himself.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully in the business world, married with kids, and a family.
Since coming to Indiana, I've learned:
I have learned how to take care of myself. I don't have to depend on my parents to do everything for me.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
Probably my parents, because they have stuck behind me in everything I have done.
What do you like best about Coach Freitag?
That he can take a joke, and he also knows how to give one out.
What is your role on the team?
To come to practice everyday and make sure everybody plays hard. I try to lead by example.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Hitting my first home run when I was in fifth grade. It won a championship for us.
What are your goals for this year?
To get this team back on track, and make it to the College Cup.
Name one thing that you wish you were better at?
Communicating.
What are your pre-game rituals or superstitions?
I always warm up with my shoes untied.
Something that many people don't know about you is:
I'm a sensitive guy. I'm a big teddy bear.
