Jan. 22, 2006 - Joe Dubuque led the Hoosier wrestling team to a 24-13 win over Purdue as he opened the match with 3-0 decision over Brandon Tucker. The win was Dubuque's 100th of his career. He would go on to become the first Hoosier in history to win back-to-back national championships in wrestling. Dubuque ended his career with a 114-18 overall mark and a 19-6 record against Big Ten foes.
Jan. 23, 1999 - Russell Brooks set the 60-meter dash record at Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse with a time of 6.72. Brooks' mark is also the fastest all-time in program history. He was a four-time letterwinner as a Hoosier.
Jan. 24, 2002 - The IU women's basketball team shocked eighth-ranked Wisconsin with a 70-63 victory in Assembly Hall. Jill Chapman led the Hoosiers with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Indiana went on to win the Big Ten Tournament and make its fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Jan. 27, 1962 - With two seconds remaining in overtime, Jimmy Rayl sank a 20-footer that gave host IU a 105-104 victory over Minnesota. Rayl set two school and conference marks in the game: most points in single game with 56 and most field goals with 20.
