Former Hoosier to Play in Super Bowl XLI

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana defensive end Adewale Ogunleye will compete in Super Bowl XLI for the Chicago Bears. The Bears will take on the Indianapolis Colts in Miami on Feb. 4.
A three time All-Big Ten selection (1997, 98, 99), Ogunleye is one of the league's elite pass rushers. So far this season, the Staten Island, N.Y. native has registered 28 tackles, six sacks, four pass deflections and forced one fumble.
During his six-year career in the NFL, Ogunleye has registered an impressive 46.5 sacks. He became the sixth Dolphins' defensive end to be voted to the Pro Bowl in 2003 after recording the fifth-highest single-season sack total in franchise history (15). In six seasons, Ogunleye has tallied 168 tackles and forced 10 fumbles.
At Indiana, Ogunleye holds the Hoosiers' all-time record for sacks with 34.5 and is the career leader in tackles for loss, registering 64 (325 yards) in his four-year career. He tallied four sacks against Ohio State on Oct. 18, 1997, tying him for the top spot in IU's single-game sack list.
Super Bowl XLI will be played Sunday, Feb. 4 at 6:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
