Hoosiers Maintain Top-25 Standing

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After its third straight third-place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic (Oct. 7-8), the Indiana men's golf team maintained its standing in the top-25 rankings. The Hoosiers sit 21st in Golfweek's most recent top 25 and 24th in Golfstat's latest poll.
Entering the final round in seventh place, IU stormed up the leaderboard with the lowest round in the 13-team Windon Memorial Classic to finish in third place. The Hoosiers carded a 6-under-par 278 to finish the tournament with a strong 3-over 855 total.
Four Hoosiers placed in the top 25 and all five players in the lineup finished at 2-over-par or lower on the final 18. Junior Jorge Campillo paced IU with a 3-under-par 68 to finish the tournament at 2-under 211 (69-74-68) and in a tie for seventh place.
Indiana returns to action at the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 29-30. The University of North Carolina-Greensboro will host the event at the Forest Oaks Country Club.
