Eli Holman Cleared To Play For Hoosiers

Bloomington, Indiana - Indiana University has received word from the NCAA that 6-9 freshman Eli Holman is a full qualifier and is eligible to play for the Hoosiers effective immediately.

"I want to congratulate Eli Holman for becoming eligible to play," said IU Coach Kelvin Sampson. ""The longer it goes, of course, you get a little concerned, but we felt confident (about his eligibility) all along."

Holman, a native of Richmond, California averaged 24.7 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks as a senior and was a top 100 prospect.
