BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - A school-record crowd of 11,086 people witnessed Friday night's volleyball match between the Hoosiers and Michigan State. That crowd is the third largest crowd in the nation this season for a volleyball match according to the Wisconsin Athletic Communications office, which keeps an unofficial record of national volleyball attendance figures across the country.
The huge amount of people watching the volleyball match also increased IU's average attendance to 2,223 fans per home match, the ninth highest average in the NCAA.
Indiana's next home match will be played in front of a national television audience as it will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. The match is scheduled for this Wednesday (Oct. 17) at 8 PM, and will be held in the University Gym.
