BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's golf team has climbed up to No. 14 in Golfstat's most recent top 25 and improved to No. 18 in Golfweek's latest poll. IU moved up from No. 21 in Golfweek's rankings and No. 24 in Golfstat's top 25.
The Hoosiers are the third-highest ranked Big Ten team in both polls. Penn State (No. 12 Golfstat, No. 14 Golfweek) leads the trio followed by Michigan State (No. 13, No. 15).
In five fall events, Indiana has fared no worse than sixth place facing one of the top schedules in the country. The Hoosiers have strung together three straight third-place finishes, claimed six wins against top-25 teams, own a 15-12 mark against top-50 clubs and hold a 34-14-1 record against the top 100.
Indiana returns to action at the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 29-30. The University of North Carolina-Greensboro will host the event at the Forest Oaks Country Club.
