The Hoosiers close out the fall season Oct. 29-30 at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Oak Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.

NEWS AND NOTES
• Laura Nochta led the Hoosiers at the Johnie Imes Invitational, Oct. 8-9, with a fifth-place finish.
• Nochta carded a three-round score of 226 (72-78-76).
• Right on her heels was teammate Elaine Harris, who finished sixth (77-75-75=227).
• Also finishing in the top 15 was sophomore Kellye Belcher, tying for 11th with a score of 233 (78-72-83).
• Nochta posted her best-ever finish at the Wolverine Invitational (Sept. 29-30).
• She was also the Hoosiers' top finisher at the event last year, placing seventh.
• Nochta's three-round score of 221 (75-71-75) was just two strokes out of first place.
• As a team the Hoosiers rallied from fifth after two rounds to finish third with a score of 916 (306-302-308).
• Indiana has finished in the top five in all four tournaments this fall.
• IU has placed third in each of its last three tournaments.
• Last fall the Hoosiers were top five finishers in just two of five tournaments in the fall.
• Elaine Harris and Kellye Belcher have finished in the top 25 in each of the four tournaments this fall.
• Harris and Nochta each have three top-10 finishes.
OUT OF THE GATES
• This is the first time the Hoosiers have opened the fall with four-straight top-five finishes since the 2002-03 season.
• Indiana is averaging a score of 303.67 per round, which if maintained would be the second-lowest average on record in school history.
• Last year Indiana finished no worse than 11th in any of its five fall tournaments.
COACH WALLMAN ON THE WEEKEND AHEAD:
• "I think this team is poised to have a good event. We want to end the season on a high note."
• "We had a solid start to the fall, which put us in a good frame of mind. As the weeks went on we had to juggle our lineup due to injuries and therefore I don't think we have hit our stride yet. We are still working to figure out the pieces of the puzzle."
GOLFWEEK POLL
• Indiana is No. 41 in this week's Golfweek poll.
• The Hoosiers are third among Big Ten teams, behind No. 12 Purdue and No. 22 Michigan State.
• In all, four Big Ten teams are ranked in the top 50 (No. 42 Ohio State).
