Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch will be speaking at the Crestmont Boys & Girls Club on Monday night from 5:45-6:30 p.m. The kids at Crestmont range from first grade to eighth grade, and Coach Lynch will speak to them about his career as a head football coach.
The Crestmont Boys & Girls Club receives a grant from the state called Mitch's Kids. Mitch's Kids was developed to help fund nonprofit organizations that offer tutoring help and career explorations for kids in first grade through eighth grade. Tonight the kids will receive the opportunity to hear from Coach Lynch what it is like to lead the Indiana football program.
With his five victories this season, Lynch shares the third-highest win total in IU history for a first-year head coach with Phil Dickens (5-3-1 in 1958) and trails only James M. Sheldon (8-1-1 in 1905) and Madison G. Gonterman (6-2 in 1896).
