Pease and Hardacre Earn Big Ten Sportsmanship Awards

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman Cole Hardacre and sophomore Sarah Pease were selected as Big Ten Sportsmanship honorees for cross country, the league office announced on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Hardacre earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors after placing 14th at the 2007 Big Ten Championships on Oct. 28. He boasted a personal-best time of 24:13.74 in the 8K championships.
Pease clocked a personal-best time of 21:07.86 in the women's 6K championship race to place 32nd overall.
Hardacre and Pease were two of the 21 cross country student-athletes that are now candidates for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. The conference office will honor one male and one female student-athlete from each institution at the end of the academic year.
