Two Hoosiers Named to Longstreth/NFHCA All-West Region Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the all-region selections on Monday, and the Hoosiers had two representatives on the team. Senior goalkeeper Haley Exner was named to the West region's first team while senior midfielder Meredith Brown was a second team selection.
Exner earns the first team distiction for the second straight season while it is the first all-region selection for Brown.
Exner, a three-time first team All-Big Ten player, closed out her prolific career by posting the best career goals against average in school history (1.53) and the most victories in school history with 38. She also holds the school record for career shutouts with nine. This season, she allowed three or more goals just twice and a goals against average of 1.66 and was named to the NFHCA Division I Senior All-Star team.
Brown led the Hoosiers in assists (9) for the third straight season on her way to a first team All-Big Ten selection and a spot on the NFHCA Division I Senior All-Star team. She holds the school record for career assists and sits in fourth place on the career points list (48). The native of Elkton, Md., also set the Indiana singel-game record for assists, when she recorded three helpers against Saint Louis on Sept. 2.
