Hoosiers Also Ninth In First AP Poll

Bloomington, Indiana - The Indiana men's basketball team will enter the season also ranked ninth in the first Associated Press Top 25 poll. They also were ranked ninth in last week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Hoosiers received 1,145 votes to rank in the top 10 of the AP poll for the first time since opening the year ninth in 1994-95.

Eighth ranked Michigan State is the only other Big Ten squad in the rankings, while non-conference foes Kentucky (20th) and Southern Illinois (25th) begin the season in the poll.
