BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - As an honorary co-chair of the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, IU head women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack helped get things going at the kick-off luncheon on Nov. 27 at the Bloomington Convention Center.
Legette-Jack, along with co-chair Sylvia McNair, led a group of 11 teams in the 'Dash for Cash' that raised nearly $20,000. The money raised for the Salvation Army will go to help thousands of local families in need of food, clothing, day care, home visits and Christmas gifts.
Teams of 'Ringleaders' included IU Hall of Famers Anthony Thompson and Jennifer (Hooker) Brinegar, who raised $1,440.67.
