BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball continued to give back to the Bloomington community during the holiday season as they visited the Monroe County United Ministries on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
The Hoosiers helped out in the food pantry and split up in different groups to work in classrooms of children ages 3-6 years old. The team helped each class work on arts and crafts, and read stories to the children.
The Monroe County United Ministries is a nurturing organization serving working families and those in distress by assisting with emergency needs and subsidized childcare. They provide quality education and a safe place for children, basic needs assistance for the poor and community service opportunities.
The Hoosiers will hit the hardwood on Thursday, Dec. 20 when they travel to Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at 7 p.m. ET. IU will back in action in Assembly Hall on Saturday, Dec. 22 when they host No. 13 West Virginia on Branch McCracken Court. Tip-off against the Mountainneers is set for 3 p.m.
