IUHOOSIERS.com sat down Indiana's Student Development Department to do a Q&A session to get to know the staff. Intern Josh Shelton is next on the list.
Why did I choose to work for IU Athletics?
I chose Indiana, because I am completing my master's degree in Bloomington. Everyone in my department had great things to say about the athletic department and felt the opportunity would be very beneficial.
What do I like most about my job?
I enjoy working with the student-athletes at study tables each night. There I am able to develop working relationships and foster their academic growth.
Sports participation:
In high school, I played basketball, baseball, and football. I had a brief stint with baseball in college.
Career aspirations:
This spring I will begin work on my doctorate degree in Physical Education. After completion of my doctoral degree, I would like to teach others how to teach Physical Education.
Free time activities:
In my free time I play golf and Xbox 360.

Any place that allows me to play golf all year long.
