Indiana Travels To No. 33 Kentucky

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers (8-1) travel to Kentucky on Thursday, Feb. 22, for a mid-week match with the Wildcats. Action begins at 5 pm.
LAST TIME OUT
Indiana went 2-0 last week, earning a 7-0 win over DePauw and a 7-0 victory over Eastern Kentucky. The Hoosiers were scheduled to play DePaul on tha day, which was rescheduled for Feb. 28.
SCOUTING REPORT
Kentucky is ranked No. 33 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fila Collegiate Rankings. Bruno Agostinelli is ranked at No. 73 in singles. He recently defeated the nation's top player, Ohio State's Steve Moneke, in three sets. The Wildcats (4-3) have dropped all three of their matches played against ranked opponents.
HOOSIERS IN ITA RANKINGS
In the fifth ITA rankings of the 2006-07 season, released on Feb. 21, the Hoosiers are ranked at No. 63. Indiana began the dual-match season ranked 58th.
BUBENICEK RANKED AT START OF SEASON, HONORED BY BIG TEN
Senior David Bubenicek was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Jan. 18 for his performance in Indiana's first matches of the spring campaign. He won his first two singles matches against Morehead State and IPFW, competing at No. 1. Bubenicek is currently 18-4 on the year in singles and 11-2 in doubles. Bubenicek was ranked at No. 48 in the first ITA singles rankings of the year.
THREE JOIN HOOSIERS FOR SPRING SEASON
Three new faces join Indiana for the spring tennis campaign. Thomas Richter is a transfer from Birmingham-Southern, and is a junior in eligibility, but is in graduate school. Richter was ranked at No. 119 in April 2006 in the ITA singles rankings. He is 5-2 in singles and 5-2 in doubles this season with Dara McLoughlin.
Phillip Eilers is a freshman from Germany, while Lachlan Ferguson is a freshman from Australia. Both bring solid juniors credentials to the Hoosiers.
