Feb. 26-27, 2005
Indiana men's track and field team finished with 105.5 points at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, falling just short of Wisconsin, which won its fifth straight title. Sean Jefferson won the mile in a photo finish in 4:26.70 on the second day of competition, while Aarik Wilson won the triple jump with a Big Ten Championships-record mark of 16.83 meters. Wilson also won the long jump on the first day of the meet with a leap of 7.58 meters.
March 1, 2002
The fifth-seeded Hoosiers used three players in double figures to defeat No. 4 Iowa, 78-76, in overtime at the 2002 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis. Jill Chapman led IU with 21 points and two blocked shots, while Heather Cassady added 20 points, five assists and four steals, and Erin McGinnis scored 16 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in the win. The victory started a three-game win streak that gave Indiana its first-ever Big Ten Tournament title.
March 2, 1980
Indiana's men's basketball team held off Ohio State in overtime to claim a 76-73 win and clinch the Big Ten Championship in the season finale.
March 4, 1990
Brian Dolph (150 lbs.) and Jim Pearson (158 lbs.) won individual Big Ten titles for their respective weight classes as the Hoosiers finished second at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships.
