Freshman Neil Wilmarth redshirted this past season for Indiana and will participate in the spring season. He sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to answer a few questions about himself.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Either to France because of the different culture, or to Michigan with my girlfriend and her family to their cottage because it's very relaxing laying on the beach all day.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Living somewhere warm and involved in sports somehow.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My parents. Growing up, they encouraged me to follow my dreams and they were very supportive.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Playing soccer in the backyard with my mom.
Something that many people don't know about you is:
I know how to knit.
The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
Dougie (Reisinger) because he is always ready to work every day.
What do you like best about Coach Freitag?
His energy and excitement about everything that has to do with soccer.
Do you have a nickname that your teammates gave you?
Little Charlie (Traylor), because I guess I'm like a little version of him.
What makes Indiana different from any other program?
It's history is like no one else's.
What's your favorite class and why?
Probably sports management because it is very upbeat and interesting.
