BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - With cold temperatures and rain in the forecast for the Carbondale, Ill., area this weekend, the schedule for the Kay Brechteslbauer Southern Classic softball tournament at Southern Illinois University has been modified to keep as many games scheduled as possible.
Originally slated to be a five-team tournament, the classic will now feature only four teams, as Ohio University decided to drop out.
The altered game schedule will now see Indiana face Western Illinois at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday, March 3, instead of the scheduled 4 p.m. start.
The following day, Indiana will take on Ball State at 2 p.m., instead of 1 p.m. as originally scheduled, while the Hoosiers' contest against the host Salukis has been moved up one hour to a 4 p.m. start.
